Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all internal and external reporting. You’ll be responsible for overseeing monthly and annual financial statements, managing tax compliance, coordinating audits, and leading a team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Lead the internal financial reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of management accounts each month at the entity level.
• Supervise the weekly reconciliation reports, ensuring that financial data is consistent and error-free.
• Coordinate external financial reporting for all entities, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and timely submission.
• Manage tax reporting, including payroll taxes, reviewing issues and changes, and working with external tax partners.
• Prepare for and coordinate annual audits, reviewing financial statements for external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
• Collaborate with the team to set clear internal deadlines for financial reporting and ensure those deadlines are consistently met.
• Maintain an organised group calendar for all financial reporting deadlines and ensure that the reporting process flows smoothly.
• Lead the adaptation to new regulatory reporting requirements, working with management to implement necessary changes.

• 5+ years of experience in financial control or management accounting, ideally in fintech or financial services.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and international financial reporting standards.
• Proven track record of managing internal financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and weekly reconciliation reports.
• Strong experience in preparing and reviewing external financial reporting and collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Tax reporting expertise, including payroll taxes and collaborating with external partners for tax-related reporting.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are clear.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial processes clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
