Associate Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to ensure our adherence to legal standards and internal policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Compliance and working with key stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of compliance controls and protocols. The role will support the compliance department in further developing the global group-wide compliance program to enhance the company’s governance program.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective compliance policies and procedures
- Collaborate with various teams, including sales, support, and product development, to integrate compliance measures and controls
- Conduct and oversee transaction monitoring for both cryptocurrency and FIAT, identifying suspicious activities
- Manage KYC and AML processes, ensuring thorough client due diligence through all stages of the customer life-cycle
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain proactive communication with regulatory bodies
- Stay updated on changes in cryptocurrency and financial compliance laws
- Promote compliance awareness within the organization through training and education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, preferably in financial services or the cryptocurrency sector.
- Experience working within a Luxembourg and European Compliance environment, including Data Privacy
- Expertise in cryptocurrency regulations, KYC/AML procedures, and transaction monitoring.
- Good stakeholder management experience, and the ability to influence change
- Experience of working in a generalist Compliance or advisory capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong independence in carrying out daily duties
- Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
- Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) preferred.
