Financial Accountant (Georgia)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a rapidly growing international payments company operating in the crypto sector. With entities across multiple countries, the company is expanding its finance function and is seeking a Georgia-based professional to support both internal financial operations and local statutory reporting requirements.

This role will report to the Director of Finance and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across various jurisdictions. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Georgian statutory requirements, and supporting the global finance function.

• Maintain accurate accounting records for the Georgian entity
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including ledger management and reconciliations
• Prepare and submit statutory financial reports in accordance with Georgian regulatory requirements
• Manage local tax reporting and filings, including VAT and corporate income tax
• Assist in payroll accounting and coordination with external tax reporting as necessary
• Support external audits and liaise with local auditors and advisors
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls and financial processes

• Experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting in Georgia
• Knowledge of Georgian tax and compliance frameworks
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CPA or local equivalent)
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to use formulas and tools to solve problems
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero is a plus
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Experience working in or with companies in the financial services or crypto sectors is desirable but not essential
