We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the development and scaling of our fintech platform, which encompasses both payment processing and electronic money institution (EMI) functionalities. As a General Manager you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and driving the growth of the platform for internal use.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent, high-responsibility role, comfortable with taking ownership of projects from inception to execution. While we have the necessary licenses and resources, we seek a leader who can define the full strategic direction, structure a clear plan, align it with the CEO, and drive its execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product and business strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee the design, development, and rollout of a robust fintech platform that integrates payment processing, digital asset transactions, and EMI capabilities.
  • Ensure full compliance with EU and UK regulations (e.g., PSD2, EMD, AML/KYC) while balancing business scalability and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including Product, Development, Compliance, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution and growth.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of platform development and business growth.
  • Oversee risk management, financial controls, and security measures to ensure platform stability and compliance.
  • Represent the company in regulatory discussions, audits, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing EMI, PSP, or regulated financial products within the EU/UK regulatory framework.
  • Deep expertise in fintech product development, including payments, e-money, and cryptocurrency integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including PSD2, EMD, AML/KYC, and compliance best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in platform architecture, scalability, and technical oversight is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution skills, capable of driving both compliance and growth initiatives.
  • Excellent decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.

Conditions

  • The role requires the General Manager to be based in London, Lisbon, Luxembourg, or Cyprus, with a focus on building and structuring a core team around these locations.
  • Directly reporting to the CEO.
  • Full ownership of team structure and operational decisions.
  • Performance-based bonus structure tied to revenue growth, regulatory milestones, and platform expansion.
