The General Manager is a senior business leadership role focused on defining and executing the commercial strategy, product direction, market positioning, and revenue growth of the EMI business line. The role is responsible for developing the product proposition and turning the existing regulatory and operational setup into a scalable commercial offering.

The General Manager works closely with the Group CEO and Authorized Management, while taking full ownership of business performance, go-to-market execution, product-market fit, and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development and commercialisation of a product offering built around the Company’s Luxembourg EMI licence.
  • Define the product vision, value proposition, target use cases and overall business concept.
  • Identify and validate target markets, customer segments, client needs, competitive positioning and revenue opportunities.
  • Define the product scope, business model, pricing approach, commercial positioning and go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop a clear product and business roadmap, including the capabilities, resources, partnerships and operational infrastructure required for launch and scaling.
  • Lead the product launch, including market validation, pilot clients, implementation and transition into full commercial operation.
  • Build and scale the team and organisational capabilities required to support the business as it develops.
  • Establish the operational processes, ownership structure and cross-functional coordination required to support the product.
  • Take direct responsibility for securing the first clients and generating initial revenue for the EMI product.
  • Identify regulatory, operational, commercial and execution risks and ensure that the product is developed within the Company’s governance framework and regulatory perimeter.
  • Provide the Group CEO with clear reporting on performance, risks and key decisions.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in senior business, product, commercial or general management roles within payments, banking infrastructure or regulated financial services.
  • Proven experience defining, building and launching a new product, business line or commercial proposition from an early stage.
  • Strong understanding of the EMI and payments landscape, including payment infrastructure, banking partnerships, account and payment products, embedded finance, BaaS or cross-border financial services.
  • Strong product and business judgement, with the ability to assess market opportunities and determine what should be built, for whom and why.
  • Proven ability to take a product from concept and validation through build, launch, initial sales and scaling.
  • Ability to operate as the end-to-end owner of a business initiative, with a high degree of autonomy, accountability and execution focus.
  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial judgement, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent professional English.
