
General Manager, Strategic Licensing & Entity Portfolio
We are seeking an experienced, strategically-minded executive to join our leadership team as General Manager (Strategic Licensing & Entity Portfolio). This role will own and manage the global structure of Cryptopay Group’s legal entities and regulatory licenses, treating them not just as compliance tools but as core business assets that enable growth, expansion, and long-term enterprise value.
Responsibilities
- Drive the global licensing strategy in alignment with Cryptopay’s product roadmap and geographic growth plans.
- Identify and prioritise jurisdictions for license acquisition or retention (e.g. MiCA, EMI, VASP, MSB, DLT frameworks).
- Oversee the global portfolio of Cryptopay’s legal entities, with responsibility for governance, cost optimization, and compliance readiness.
- Conduct cost/benefit and ROI analysis of regulated entities and associated licenses.
- Collaborate with the CFO and Strategy teams to determine which licenses/projects should bear ongoing administrative costs.
- Coordinate with local directors or operational representatives across jurisdictions. Define their roles, responsibilities, and integration into Group-level projects using their licenses.
- Provide licensing advisory and structuring input to project GMs and product leads.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of regulatory awareness, corporate structuring experience, and business acumen, capable of navigating the complexities of regulated FinTech markets across jurisdictions, while maintaining a clear view of the commercial and strategic value of each license and entity.
- 8+ years of experience in a FinTech, payments, crypto-asset, or regulated financial services business.
- Track record of managing international licensing or corporate structuring programs.
- Strong understanding of crypto, payments, and emerging regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiCA, PSD2/3, FCA, FinCEN, MAS, etc.).
- Experience managing legal entities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with the strategic value of regulated licenses and the commercial implications of cross-border regulatory compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Highly structured thinker with analytical rigor and commercial sensitivity.
