Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously update a comprehensive AML/CTF framework in strict adherence to local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the local and international AML/CTF regulatory changes and requirements, promptly reporting updates to senior management and staff to drive informed decision-making.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the governmental financial intelligence authorities, fostering close collaboration with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and an effective compliance program.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of SARs and CTRs to the governmental financial intelligence authorities.
  • Employ rigorous due diligence and risk assessment protocols to evaluate and approve high-risk customers, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Conduct systematic and periodic risk assessments to proactively identify and effectively mitigate potential risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Oversee incident response plans for AML/CTF events, ensuring a swift and appropriate response as required.
  • Establish and enforce compliance standards for third-party service providers, guaranteeing adherence to local AML/CTF regulations.
  • Manage and maintain all essential documentation for the required period as evidence of AML/CTF compliance, serving as the central contact for internal and external AML/CTF audits.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal AML/CTF training programs, promoting comprehensive awareness and fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Finance, Business Administration).
  • Legal or Financial background with a minimum of 5 years in compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of local regulations and international standards such as FATF guidelines - Mandatory.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar qualification is preferred.
