We are seeking a Reconciliation Analyst to join our Finance Team in Luxembourg.
The job supposes you being in Luxembourg and working in the office in a hybrid mode.
Responsibilities
Role of business analyst in a project to automate the transactions accounting.
Automating the preparation of journals using transaction level data from the user database and transaction data from statements.
Reconcile accounting journals with Balance Sheet movement.
Identify and understand the nature of reconciliation differences, distinguishing between legitimate timing differences and issues with data or journal creation rules.
Investigate issues with data or journal rules, proposing and implementing amendments to ensure accuracy in journal preparation.
Update journal templates with correct rules to ensure accurate preparation of journals.
Communicate issues with tagging on bank statements to preparers for necessary amendments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather source data from exchange, wallet downloads, and company databases.
Develop and maintain documentation related to journal preparation processes and rules.
Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize the semi-automated journal preparation process.
Assist in testing and validation of automated processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to the project.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Reconciliation Analyst or similar role.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile complex data sets.
Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
