We are seeking a Reconciliation Analyst to join our Finance Team in Luxembourg.
The job supposes you being in Luxembourg and working in the office in a hybrid mode.
Responsibilities
- Role of business analyst in a project to automate the transactions accounting.
- Automating the preparation of journals using transaction level data from the user database and transaction data from statements.
- Reconcile accounting journals with Balance Sheet movement.
- Identify and understand the nature of reconciliation differences, distinguishing between legitimate timing differences and issues with data or journal creation rules.
- Investigate issues with data or journal rules, proposing and implementing amendments to ensure accuracy in journal preparation.
- Update journal templates with correct rules to ensure accurate preparation of journals.
- Communicate issues with tagging on bank statements to preparers for necessary amendments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather source data from exchange, wallet downloads, and company databases.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to journal preparation processes and rules.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize the semi-automated journal preparation process.
- Assist in testing and validation of automated processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Reconciliation Analyst or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile complex data sets.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
