We are seeking a Reconciliation Analyst to join our Finance Team in Luxembourg.


The job supposes you being in Luxembourg and working in the office in a hybrid mode.

Responsibilities

  • Role of business analyst in a project to automate the transactions accounting.
  • Automating the preparation of journals using transaction level data from the user database and transaction data from statements.
  • Reconcile accounting journals with Balance Sheet movement.
  • Identify and understand the nature of reconciliation differences, distinguishing between legitimate timing differences and issues with data or journal creation rules.
  • Investigate issues with data or journal rules, proposing and implementing amendments to ensure accuracy in journal preparation.
  • Update journal templates with correct rules to ensure accurate preparation of journals.
  • Communicate issues with tagging on bank statements to preparers for necessary amendments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather source data from exchange, wallet downloads, and company databases.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to journal preparation processes and rules.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize the semi-automated journal preparation process.
  • Assist in testing and validation of automated processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Reconciliation Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
